US helicopter crashes in Fallujah

Fallujah - One American soldier was killed and one was wounded in a helicopter crash near the town of Falluja, west of Baghdad, on Friday, the United States military said. A US military spokesperson said the helicopter, an OH-58 observation chopper, came down at around 12.30pm but had no further details. She said the cause of the crash was under investigation. Guerrillas have shot down several US helicopters in recent months. In November they brought down three Black Hawk utility helicopters and a Chinook transporter, killing a total of 39 US soldiers.
