Spectacular truck accidents investigated

Police are investigating two spectacular accidents involving trucks overturning. A truck and trailer unit loaded with a container, rolled onto its side and toppled over the seawall in peak traffic early last night on Tamaki Drive near Kohimarama in Auckland. The driver walked away unharmed. A bitumen truck overturned on Owairaka Valley Road near Kihikihi in Waikato, trapping the driver. He was rescued with minor injuries, but it took emergency services some time to clear bitumen from the road. More : home.nzcity.co.nz |
