Rollover shuts down Interstate

San Marcos — Traffic on one northbound lane of IH-35 was shut down for a period on Monday afternoon after a rollover accident just south of Posey Road. Police said a car’s left rear tire blew out and the driver attempted to get off the road, but the car went into a skid and overturned. The female driver was taken to Central Texas Medical Center after complaining of neck pain, said SMPD Sergeant Fred Wisener. The passenger, also female, wasn’t injured. The accident occurred at approximately 1:42 p.m. and forced the closure of one lane on the Interstate. |
